 Lockwood Folly Country Club is a
superbly conditioned, semi-private,
member owned "hidden gem". The course is
located at the confluence of the
Intracoastal Waterway and the Lockwood
Folly River, providing golfers with
breathtaking vistas of tidal estuary,
moss covered hard- woods and the
solitude of nature. Tree lined,
nonparallel fairways winding through
hardwoods and pine afford a sense of
seclusion while challanged with
championship golf. Our Willard Byrd
masterful design drew 1988 nominations
as a top 10 new course in North
Carolina, and awarded in Golf Digest
2000 as a 4 star "Places to Play." Many
of our picturesque holes demand accurate
shot making from tee to green. Either
nine, front or back, provides golfers
with a full range of shot selections.
However, accuracy, not distance, will
award the golfer safe harbor. Lockwood
CC is an equity membership course whose
owners take pride in its premier quality
and course beauty. Located between
Myrtle Beach and Wilmington, just
